Shot Blasting is a one-step surface preparation technique that removes, cleans, and profiles interior or exterior horizontal surfaces in a single application, effectively removing paint, old coatings, grease, dirt, laitance, rust, mill scale and other contaminants. This process prepares new concrete or steel to enhance and improve the bond for any type of sealing, coating or overlay application. Shot blasting is a dust-free method of surface abrasion in which thousands of steel shot particles are propelled at high speed onto the surface removing contaminants and ricocheting upward back into the system to be recycled. This entire process is confined in an enclosed blast chamber which in coordination with a dust collection recovery system, recovers and separates the resulting dust from reusable shot.
